Elijah Sanborn was born September 22, 1761, a son of Daniel Sanborn and his second wife, Marcy [1] During the American Revolutionary War, Elijah enlisted as a Private in Captain Enoch Page's company, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Senter. [2] Elijah is honored for his military service by the Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, as Ancestor #A099717. DAR records indicate that Elijah died in 1836, in Sherman, St Joseph County, Michigan and that he married 1) Elizabeth Tilton and 2) Sarah Gordon. Application for membership in the Society of the DAR have been made by the descendants of his son, David Sanborn, who married Sally Foot; and of his daughters, Mercy Sanborn, who married Sherburn Tilton; and Hannah Sanborn, who married Reuben Trussell. On September 7, 1779, in Kingston, Rockingham county, New Hampshire, Elijah married Elizabeth Tilton. [4] Children of Elijah and Elizabeth are:

Elijah was born in 1761. He passed away about 1836.
