Biography
In addition to Preston and Tucker Counties, West Virginia, D. N. lived in Clarke County and Warren County, Iowa for 6 years and Ashtabula County, Ohio for 2 years. He operated a general store in Terra Alta, West Virginia for several years. For the last 37 years of his life, he lived and farmed near Hutton, Maryland. He married Esther Grace Dumire on 2 December 1883 at the home of his cousin and neighbor, Peter Wotring.
