Anna Schell was baptized 9 Sep 1725 to Johann Christian "Christ" Schell and his wife Anna Elisabeth, née Zehrung of Bach, parish of Marienberg in the district of Beilstein, Principality of Nassau-Oranien (now Bad Marienberg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany). The entry reads:

Translation: "On the 15th Sunday after Trinity 1725 (= September 9th) was baptized Anna, daughter of Johann Christ Schell and his wife Anna Elß of Bach. Godparents were: Johann Theiß Weber of Marienberg; and Anna, the wife of Johannes Steupp of Pfuhl. [later note:] confirmed on October 10th 1739."
Emigration to America
Anna (Schell) Hess migrated from Holy Roman Empire to Colonial New York.
Anna Schell at some point ca 1749-1753 emigrated to Colonial America, probably together with one of her brothers (see there). They probably took the normal route on the river Rhine north to the harbor of Rotterdam in the Netherlands and boarded there on a ship leaving for Philadelphia. Later they ended up in New York. Her identity in the new world is secured by her interconnection with other immigrants, family and friends from the same area. The well known genealogist Henry Z Jones, Jr. covered this family in his book "More Palatine Families". [2]

Schell-1399 and Schell-31 appear to represent the same person because: Sharon it looks like you have a better fix on her vitals than I do. Surprised it took me this long to notice the match & merge that was needed.
