Daughter of Daniel Scott and Ann Poindexter, born about 1809 in North Carolina, married Job Martin. [1][2][3]
NOTES
The Poindexter book says that Jane married Job Martin. The family moved to Kentucky. I believe this is wrong unless there were two Scott ladies that married a Job Martin. Certainly there were multiple Job Martins.[4]
In the 1850 census, Knox Co KY, living next door to Valentine Martin who married Jane's niece Ann R. Scott is a Job Martin married to a Malinda and she was age 41 or born 1809 (too late to be Jane) and most probably another niece. Ann was a daughter of Jane's brother Francis, and I suspect Malinda was another daughter of Francis.
I believe the generations have been confused, also causing confusion concerning Jane's middle name.
Any corrections, additions, welcomed.
