Biography

William E Seals, known as “Willie” and “Will”[1] was born about Jan 1860 AL[2] He was the son of Wilburn Seale and Elizabeth Stracener.
He married 2 Aug 1891[3] Idella Alabama “Adella” Bennett, (also Della A, and Idella[4] ). She was b. Feb 1870 DeKalb AL, d. 1923.[5]
Family tale relates that “Uncle Will left Mobile riding a mule ahead of the law.” [6]
In 1903 William received a land grant in Polk Co. AR, Sec. 31 Twp. 5S, R31W for 160 acres.[7] The following year he received another 160 acres in Howard county, AR, Sec 22 and 27, Twp 6S, R28W, which was immediately east of his brother Henry P Seals' land.[8] Child data from census dates.
