Charles Doolittle Sears was born Oct. 7, 1776 in Hardwick, Massachusetts, the sixth of eight children of Freeman Sears and Mehitable Haskell. [1] [2]
He married Lucretia and was buried in Old North Cemetery, Hartford, Connecticut. [3]
There are Connecticut Burial burial records for three children of Charles and Lucretia: Philander (1808-1818), Burton (1840-1844), Noble (1842-1844), and buried near Charles and Lucretia. With those dates Burton and Noble could not have been children of Lucretia and Charles, perhaps grandchildren? The connection is in the Hale Connecticut Collection of Cemetery Inscriptions but that still cannot make it right.
No marriage record has been found for Lucretia. I could only find the headstone as record of their marriage.
It is possible that Charles remarried after the death of Lucretia but I could not find proof.
