Elizabeth Seddon was born in 1832 in Whittle le Woods, Lancashire, England, ^[1] the daughter of William Seddon, a stone mason. ^[2]

On 27 March 1853, in St Paul's church, Warrington, she married Thomas Pemberton, a forger. Witnesses were William Pemberton and Elizabeth Penneligan. ^[2]

In 1861, she was living with her husband and 2 daughters in Warrington. ^[3]
