Biography
Nancy Settle was born about 1804 in Virginia.[1]
In 1850,[1] Nancy Ross (age 46, born Virginia) was living in DeKalb County, Alabama in the household of her husband, Jesse Ross (age 56, born South Carolina), with their Ross children, all born in Alabama except as noted (age, sex): i) Jesse (21, M, South Carolina), ii) George (19, M, South Carolina), iii) William (17, M), iv) Alex (14, M), v) Gilla (12, F), vi) John (8, M), vii) Lorenda (4, F). Jesse, Sr.'s occupation was farmer; he owned real estate valued at $1200.
