Thanks for having a Big Heart and taking responsibility for Orphaned Profiles. You will want to read this After Adopting Orphans as it explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need from their profile managers. You may also want to go through the new member help on How to manage your Watchlist.

Robert,

I would like to see Harriet Ashe added to MG John Ashe, my 5th Great Grandfather. Harriet is my 4th, Margaret Laspeyre, 3rd, Asha Long (m. George Babson) my 2nd, Charles Carlnett Babson, 1st, David Pratt Babson, GF, John Everett Babson, Dad, Beth Anne Babson, me. For now I'll just go see how this week's profile degrees to King Charles looks from Ashe by degrees on Wikitree instead of my Babsons Greats. I have known cousin paths how am related as of this year but databases can be altered, wrong or need cross referencing.

Please correct the way the surnames are put. It looks like the men had maiden names.

Hi Rob,

Let me know if you need some help with the sourcing. Linda, WikiTree Mentor

Yes please. Thanks. I'm updating my Great Great Grandma Steele, Gilliland-766, right now since I can't sleep. I could've sworn I added her sources and stuff, guess not lol.

Thanks for completing the rest of the merges, Robert. Those profiles could use a good cleanup now. One of our mentors created a YouTube video that shows how to clean up the GEDCOM parts. Merging the two bio sections can be done at the same time by combining the sections so that all the name, birth information, death information, etc. is together. Let me know if you have any questions about it.

Hi Robert,

Thanks for completing the merge for Fannie (Wilson) Patterson. I've just proposed the merge for her daughter Katie's duplicate profiles. It looks like the other children also have duplicate profiles. Will you be initiating those merges or would you like me to?

Thanks Robert for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz

Because Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects coordinating them is essential. Please ensure location data matches dates of profile, avoid abbreviations, add citations & links for sources to support the data. From wiki ID go to Research to find sources

Thanks for joining a project, great to see your enthusiasm. Explore Pre-1700 Projects list to find links to your research focus, whether time period, location, or topic. Please read the goals & tasks of the project For help with tags, click editing your tags

Hi Robert,

Please make sure to go through the Pre-1700 quiz again. You have added profiles that have no sources, and due to the lack of sources you have created duplicates.

Hi Robert,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

You have added the MAGNA_CARTA tag and are looking into joining the MAGNA_CARTA project. You might also look at other projects that meet your interests. Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or special event. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

My apologies, Robert, I was looking at the wrong profile when I sent you the last message. You did not use that as the source. The profile you created was from a GEDCOM import which did not include sources. The rest of the comments still apply. Please don't create new profiles from the GEDCOM without adding your sources.

Hi Robert,

Thanks for all your work on WikiTree. I noticed that you recently created a profile for a pre-1700 ancestor and placed "Unsourced - from Ancestry.com" in the sources section.

There have been some updates to the Pre-1700 Profile help page and the Pre-1700 Quiz since you took it in February 2016. Please review both and let me know if you have any questions or concerns. You will notice that the wording has been modified to more fully explain the sourcing needed for pre-1700 profiles.

Please do not create any more pre-1700 profiles from unsourced Ancestry records.

Thanks,

Debi
