Possible 1812 War Service:

A Henry Shaw received a Military Land Warrant, 2 Jan 1854, in White County, Illinois, for 1812 War service as a private in Captain Barnes' NC Militia. It was subsequently assigned to Mark Allen Miller.[4] Henry Shaw is indexed as a private in the 1st Regiment (McDonald's) NC Militia.[5] James Shaw is also listed in the same regiment.
