Mary died aged 70 years 10 months and 18 days, she died on the 6th of September 1915 in DeKalb, Missouri, United States. The death record gives her occupation as Tailoress [7] Mary died from a skull fracture incurred during a run-away buggy accident.[8] She passed without regaining consciousness. Her brother, Samuel M. Sherard of Fariport, and a grandson .[8] Mary's burial took place on the 7th of September 1915, she is buried in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Maysville, Dekalb, Missouri, United States[9]
Her death certificate shows that Mary was a tailoress who employed other workers. [10]
