ECHOES
On Wednesday, Mr. Albert Whatson, junr., son of Mr. Albert Whatson, senr,. of Jones' Island, and Miss Emma Louisa Shoesmith, daughter of Mr. Alfred Shoesmith, also of Jones' Island, were united in matrimony by the Rev. T. Northcott, in the Jones' Island Methodist Church. The ceremony was an interesting one, there being a very large attendance of relatives and friends to witness it, including some from Laurieton. After the event quite a procession of vehicles was formed from the church to the residence of the bride's parents, where 150 guests sat down to the wedding breakfast, which had been very bountifully and nicely prepared, and laid out in a large marquee erected near the house.—Manning Times.
