In 1909, John was a labourer living with his family at 112 Dryburgh street, North Melbourne.[3] From before 1912 until 1924 he was at 5 Abbotsford street, North Melbourne.[4] From 1925 until 1931, John and family were living at 354 Dryburgh street, North Melbourne, after which they moved to 43 Dryburgh street, North Melbourne.[5]
John Edward died in 1941[6] and was buried on 27 August 1941 at Coburg Pine Ridge Cemetery, Coburg, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.[7]
