Biography
William was born in between 1533 and 1545. He was probably the son of John Skidmore of Mayshill, Westerleigh, Gloucestershire, England.
William's son and three daughters were named in the 1614 will of his sister Elizabeth.[1]
William died at the age of about 70 on 30 November 1615 Westerleigh, Gloucestershire, England

Research Notes
It is doubtful that this William Skidmore was married to Margery Lechmere. According to Warren Skidmore in "Thomas Skidmore (Scudamore), 1605 - 1684, of Westerleigh, Gloucestershire, and Fairfield, Connecticut", page 725, his wife was probably "Isabel", unknown surname. Additionally, this William Skidmore shoud not be confused with William Scudamore, born 1521 to John Scudamore and Sybil Vaughan.
