He served as a Lieutenant in the American Revolution, responding to the Lexington Alarm and serving with Captains Joseph, Morse, and Mann under Col. Samuel Bullard Bullard-1333.[3]
He married, first, Esther Dewing, on 2 October 1750, in Needham.[4].
