Biography

Donald Smith was born in Clarence in 1856. He was the son of Robert Smith and Margaret Ferguson.

He moved to East Templeton, Canada East with his parents in the 1860s.

Donald, aged 25, married Weltina Scarf, aged 21, on 4 August, 1881 in Ottawa.^[1]

Together they had one child, Isabella Smith in 1884.

Wiltena passed away in 1887.

Donald aged 35, married Ellen Abson, aged 29, on 7 May 1890 in Ottawa. ^[2]

Together they had children.

The 1901 Canada Census shows Donald Smith's Spouses and Children ^[3]

In 1911 the Canadian Census shows us ^[4]

March 21, 1918 is the wedding day of their son Robert. Robert marries Beatrice Lilian Green.^[5]

Donald, aged 77, passed away at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on 28 Jan 1934. Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. ^[6]
