Note: About Plaistow, NH: Vital Records, 1652 - 1905 CONT The town of Plaistow, New Hampshire, was originally part of Haverhill, Massachusetts, before its annexation to New Hampshire. It was chartered as a separate parish in 1749 and the town was established in 1761. These records were abstracted by Priscilla Hammond of Concord, New Hampshire, in 1937.From the manuscript: "The following records of Plaistow families were secured from a voluminous manuscript notebook in the possession of the New Hampshire Historical Society in Concord. In checking over and comparing these records with those already secured from the town's original record books much additional information was found. It is believed that the information from the manuscript notebook was compiled from church records, later town records, and records from neighboring towns about Plaistow as well as private sources. In order to save repetition only such information as was not included in the original record books of the town is set down in the following pages so when a page is mentioned please refer back to that page in order to have the full information concerning a family all together."
