Mrs. Clara J. Simmons, aged 83 years, 7 months, and 8 days, died December 7th. She was the widow of the late J.N. Simmons, who died several years ago. Survivors are their 10 children: 6 sons, A.M. of Bogalusa, J.O. and C.C. of Franklinton, L.J. of Columbia, and R.E. and Lloyd Simmons of Birmingham, Ala.; 4 daughters, Mrs. Larcy Sturdivant of Ruston, Mrs. F.E. Payne of Bogalusa, Mrs. W.A. Erwin and Mrs. S.L. Smith, both of Franklinton; and a large number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Interment was in the Ellis cemetery.
