Biography

Descendant of Mayflower passengers William Brewster, Stephen Hopkins, and Thomas Rogers.

Olive Green Snow was born December 6, 1833 in Orleans, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, USA. She was the daughter of Sylvanus and Olive (Linnell) Snow of Orleans, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts, USA.^[1]

Olive G. Snow married Richard Sparrow Freeman (1831 - 1913) on January 31, 1853 in Orleans, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. Richard had been a mariner since the age of 14; he was Captain of a fishing vessel for 12 years until his retirement in 1872. Afterwards he worked his family farm.^[2] The couple lived in Orleans, belonged to the Congregational Church there, and had 4 children:^[3]

Olive G. (Snow) Freeman died at home in Orleans, Cape Cod, Massachusetts on January 4, 1908. She was 75 years old. Her husband survived her passing. He died in Orleans, Massachusetts, on May 19, 1913. They are buried next to each other in the Orleans Cemetery, East Orleans, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, USA. ^[4]
