Austin was born in 1840. He was the son of Nelson Southworth and Jemima Finch. He passed away in 1924. [1]

Their children were Eugene Bell Southworth (1855–1938), Thaddeus DeWitt Southworth (1856–1930), Ralph Waldo Emerson Southworth (1858–1936), Charles W Southworth (1860–1861), Walter Southworth (1862–1863), Nettie Amelia Southworth (1864–1921), Rev Victor Emanuel Southworth (1866–1952), Victoria Regina Southworth (1866–1932), Adolphus William Southworth (1869–1949), Alan Wood Southworth (1871–Deceased), Ira Southworth (1874–1874), Irena Vashti Southworth (1874–1955), Nellie W Southworth (1875–Deceased), Minnie May Southworth (1876–Deceased), Ellen Wood Southworth (1878–1929), Jane died in 1911.
  2. He married Hannah B. Baker on 8 December 1913 in Unadilla, Otsego, New York.
