Biography
Elizabeth3 Spear (Anne2, Thomas1) was born 11 October 1760 in Brunswick, Maine;[1] married Josiah Simpson, son of William Simpson and Agnes Lewis, on 8 January 1778. She died 14 June 1790[2] according to the town clerk's records. Josiah Simpson was born 4 October 1750 in Brunswick, Maine; died 25 December 1819, and was buried in Maquoit Cemetery, Brunswick. He married, second, Martha Potter, daughter of James Potter and Martha Spear, on 24 February 1791 in Topsham, Maine. Martha was born about 1772 and died 14 April 1856 in Brunswick and is buried with her husband in Maquoit Cemetery. "Died in Brunswick, 25th ult., Mr. Josiah Simpson, 69," from the Portland East Argus of 4 January 1820. The child of Elizabeth3 Spear and Josiah Simpson was: i.
