James Reed Spradley was born on 9 Mar 1832 in Dekalb, Tennessee to parents Bryant Spradley and Demaris Melton. He married Melissa Jane Byrd on 13 Sep 1866. Children: Lucy, Virginia Florence, Anna, Mary J, James Walter, Samuel D, Sylvester Byrd, Charles Milton, Clara, Cora, Pearl. HE died on 23 Nov 1919 in McKinney, Texas.
James served in the Civil War.
