Biography
Samuel Bryan Spradley was born on 4 Mar 1833 in Tennessee to parents Bryant Spradley and Demaris M Melton. He married firstly Betsy Ann Jackson on 22 Dec 1855 in Greene, Illinois. Children: Mary, Sarah Jane, Julia Elizabeth, Louella. After Betsy died in 1870 he married secondly Cynthia M Whitlow about 1873. Children: Joseph Franklin, Minnie. He died on 9 Jun 1906 in Garnett, Kansas.
Samuel served in the Union Army during the Civil War with Company F, 12th Illinois Volunteer Cavalry.
