Biography

Gottfried III, Count Springer of Waldenburg, born 1323 is supposedly the son of Gottfried II, Count Springer of Waldenburg and his wife Johanna of Kollinsky according to a publication by Moses C. Springer on the Springer Family.^[1]

According to the same source, Gottfried III married firstly in 1343, Edwinde of Maschen, who died without issue, and secondly in 1346 Thekla Meyer and had one son with her;

For some reason unexplained his son didn't succeed him as Count Springer of Waldenburg and Gottfried III was the last Count of the Waldenburg line when he died in 1399.^[1]
