Note: Only two sons are known of the parents he is attached to now as son, and these sons were Adriaen Aertsz Spruijt and Sijmon Aertsz Spruijt. [1] So there's no (known) son Jan. And something else that's suggesting these were not his parents, is that according the 'source' that was added and reason why these parents were attached: Familysearch (online genealogy) L6RV-CW2, Jan's patronymic was Bastiaensz or Barents, this makes it even more unlikely he was a son of this couple, because if one of these was his patronymic, his father would have been a man named Bastiaen or Barent, not Aert... So more research and sources are needed to see if parents are correct or not...
