Biography

William Henry Stephens was born on 23 May 1911 in Navarro County, Texas, United States.^[1][2] He was the son of Albert Floyd Stephens and Annie Mae (Poulter) Stephens (1888 - 1962).^[3][4]

No record of him and his family has been found in the 1910 United States Census.

He was 8 years old when the 1920 United States Census was taken. He, his mother, and his siblings were living in the household of his maternal grandfather, Henry Poulter, in the area designated as Dresden Precinct in Navarro County, Texas.^[5]

Willie was 19 years old and working as a farm laborer when the 1930 United States Census was taken. He was living in the household of his mother in Ellis County, Texas.^[6]

William Henry Stephens and Vivian Cheek were married on 23 September 1933 in Navarro County, Texas.^[7] They were the parents of at least 3 children.

William Henry Stephens died on 30 March 1980 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas at the age of 68.^[2][8][9] He was buried in Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.^[10]
