Biography

Adolphus was born in 1882. He was the son of Ransom Stevens and Amanda Penix.

He married twice: Laura Womack and Dillie Agnes Evans.

In 1910, he and first wife, Laura, were living in Hale County, Texas.^[1] They had four children together: Fannie Mae, Fred Loraine, Alton Lucine, and Alma Lee. Laura died in 1911, the same year their last child was born.

By 1917, he was married to Dillie, and they were listed on the birth record of a son.^[2]

The couple had three children together: Lanham Evan, Arlyn Thomas, and Mary Elizabeth.

By 1920, he and Dilly were living in Jones County, Texas.^[3] By 1930, they had moved to Martin County, Texas.^[4] They were still there in 1940.^[5]

He passed away in 1978.^[6][7] Burial was in the Mountain View Cemetery in San Bernardino, San Bernardino County, California.^[8]
