Gamaliel Stewart was born on September 11, 1856, in York, New Brunswick, Canada. He was the son of James Stewart and Anna Lyons his father, James, was 33 and his mother, Anna, was 24. He had four daughters with Elizabeth Johnson between 1885 and 1899. He died on January 31, 1946, [1] in Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada, at the age of 89, and was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Hartland, Carleton County, New Brunswick, Canada.[2][3]
