Biography
William Lawson Stewart was born in Mercer Co. Va (now Mercer WV) and lived there until about 1870 when the family moved north west to Low Gap in Boone County. It was here he met his wife, Clara Stone. They married on 25 Dec 1873 at Boone County.[1] Among their children are:
- Lewis Chapman, b. abt. 1874; d. 18 Nov 1957[2]
- James Wesley, b. 08 Jul 1876; d. 04 Oct 1967[3]
- Martha Elizabeth, b. 25 Jul 1879; m. Mr. Kessinger; d. 13 Oct 1966[4]
- William Wilson, b. 20 May 1881; d. 25 Aug 1944[5]
- George Washington, b. 30 Jul 1885; d. 13 Nov 1958[6]
- John Henry, b. 1887; d. 25 Nov 1961[7]
