Biography
Research Notes
His birth date comes from the 1850 Census; however, a new grave marker that has been added to his grave gives 1800.
His last name was transcribed as "Stevenson," but if you refer to the image, the census taker clearly had it written as "Stiveson" for all members of the family.[1]

Stivenson-23 and Stivenson-2 do not represent the same person because: A Sarah Fishel lived from 1759 to 1791 and wed Tobias (Steibfsannt Stivenson Stevenson) Stuyvesant at Oley Hill Church in Berks Co, PA in 1788. I was only able to located one child, Hannah born circa 1790. Tobias seems to have remarried to Elizabeth Anderson in 1792 and she was the mother of William F (Sr) (Steibfsannt Stivenson Stevenson) Stuyvesant in 1800. I believe that both William and Elizabeth died in 1882, an unusual coincidence.
Some of the information that I found on this family alluded to the line coming from Peter Stuyvesant, the buyer of Manhattan.
Stivenson-23 and Stivenson-2 appear to represent the same person because: These are the same person w/ the birthdate in error on Stivenson-23. There is a duplicate son as well: Stivenson-22 and Stivenson-10
Stivenson-2 and Stiveson-3 appear to represent the same person because: Please see the image for the 1850 Census linked on Stiveson-3. The spelling of their last name is given as "Stiveson" but incorrectly transcribed as "Stevenson."
Some of the information that I found on this family alluded to the line coming from Peter Stuyvesant, the buyer of Manhattan.
William's birth date is given as 1783.
