Carter Tate Stone was born on 25 Feb 1919 in Pickens County, Georgia. He passed away on 9 Jan 1992 in Pickens County, Georgia.^[1][2] He married Margarett E. Chastain in 1936 in Long Branch, Pickens, Georgia. Reportedly, his father-in-law Abraham 'Abe' Joseph Chastain performed the ceremony as Justice of the Peace. ^[3] Carter and Margarett are buried at Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery in Jasper, Pickens, Georgia. ^[4]
