Biography

Abigail STRATTON was born 1647 in Southampton, Suffolk, New York. She married Henry NORRIS on 1665 in Elizabethtown, Essex, New Jersey.

Her date and place of birth are not clearly established. Her family may have been in Southampton, L.I. before 1649. Her father, John Stratton, was one of the first settlers of Easthampton in 1649. She married Henry Norris, date and place uncertain, probably in Easthampton prior to relocation to New Jersey. They settled in Elizabethtown, N.J., 1668-1670.[1][2]

She presumably died before she was omitted from her husband's will signed in March 1705.

Stratton-1242 and Stratton-1804 appear to represent the same person because: I didn't realize when I clicked the "view" button to see if your profile matched mine, that your profile would automatically be added to my tree, so now I have to wives for my Henry Norris by the name of Abigail Stratton. Asking your permission to merge the 2 wives.

Thank you, Bonnie

Stratton-1242 and Stratton-157 appear to represent the same person because: same name born to the same parents, no conflicts. 1647 seems like the better DOB if she was married in 1665.
