Biography

Sarah Streeter was born 2 April 1643 Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony , daughter of [Streeter-1|Stephen Prescott Streeter] and [Adams-56|Ursula Adams.]

Her grave said she had another son John (1674 - 1767), who was a half-sibling with Nathaniel Holland.

Confusion with Sarah Holland and Sarah Gleason

Sarah Streeter has been confused and was once conflated with Sarah Holland; Torrey's NE Marriages gives her maiden name as Streeter but sources do not mention this.

Sarah Streeter also has been confused and was once conflated with Sarah Gleason

As suggested by Anne B, created a new Sarah ____ Gleason, Unknown-432926 and transferred the Gleason children and her death and related info, and sources, to that profile. Now there are three Sarahs:

Sarah Holland Sarah Gleason Sarah Streeter Each could use better sources and more editing.

You are probably right, I'm not finding any good sources on Sarah Streeter at all. Lots of unsourced family trees which is as good as nothing. For now I'm marking the married last name and parents as uncertain. If you make a trusted request I can add you as manager otherwise go ahead and change it as you see fit.

I take it the 8 Jul 1703 death date is for Sarah Gleason? Is there any source for the 2 Apr 1643 birth date for Sarah Streeter?

I also think we need to create a new Sarah (Unknown) Gleason. From Torrey: GLEASON, Thomas (1637-1705) & 1/wf Sarah ____ (-1703); by 1665(6?); Sudbury/Framingham {Gleason 21; Brainerd Anc. 123}. It seems that the real Sarah Streeter has no known marriage. Unless one of you knows of a source.

The Sarah Unknown who was merged away was the wife of Gleason.

I've taken a look at the Torrey sources for the marriage of Nathaniel Holland and Sarah [Streeter]. I don't know where Torrey got Streeter, because his sources don't show it. I put it on this profile, but will move it to the Sarah Unknown.

I've moved the Holland children back under a new Sarah Unknown-432768. Unfortunately these profiles had already been jumbled and there were duplicate Gleason children of Thomas's under the Sarah Unknown-317426 Holland. Clearly this needs to be sorted out better and this "New England Marriages" indicating a marriage between Holland and Streeter and the findagrave reference to the (impossible?) Holland half-brother need to be sourced and reconciled.

With respect, this combination of Sarah Streeter Holland and Sarah ______ Gleason into Streeter-40 is not possible. Per these profiles, Nathaniel Holland-713 lived 1638-1709. Thomas Gleason-231lived 1637-1705. Nathaniel and his Sarah had children in 1659, 1662,1668, 1671, 1674, & 1676. Thomas and his Sarah (whatever her last name at birth may be) had children in 1665, 1667, 1669, 1674, 1677, 1679, & 1682. This merge has conflated two different people, and needs to be undone.

Streeter-976 and Streeter-40 appear to represent the same person because: Clear duplicate. I just adopted Streeter-976. Thanks!
LNAB is Streeter not Gleason. Gleason is her married name

Hosier-21 and Streeter-40 appear to represent the same person because: Unknown father reveilled

Sarah (Gleason-232) has been given the LNAB of Gleason probably via a GED download - but there is no indication or documentation of her maiden name being Gleason - just the fact that she was Thomas Gleason's wife and mother of seven children with him.

What is the recommended procedure to correct this LNAB situation and to indicate that her maiden name is unknown?
