Biography

Thomas was born in 1706 in Stratford, Westmoreland, VA. He was the son of Joel Stripling and Mary Christopher. He first married on 7 Dec 1725 to Elizabeth Newton (1704-1728; unknown parents).^[1] They had two known children. She died in childbirth with their son Thomas. He married again on 17 Nov 1729, in Stafford County, VA, to Jane Thomas (1707-UNK; d/o Richard Thomas).^[2] They had 11 known children. Living in Stafford throughout his life, it is here he passed away in 1782.
