Susan was born 22 Jan 1817.[1] She is the daughter of Jesse Stribling and Elizabeth Sloan.[2] She married Thomas Ryland Shelor, son of Jacob Shelor and Elizabeth (Ryland) Shelor, say 1836, based on the birth of their first child. Thomas and Susan had eight children: Sarah E. Stribling, Mary S. Harbin, Virginia C. Wright, N. Rebecca Steele, Robert Jesse Shelor, Joseph W. Shelor, William C. Shelor and Susan Shelor.[3]Susan died 9 Nov 1894 in Calhoun, Georgia, and is buried there in Fain Cemetery along with her husband and four of her children.
