Two Eunice Strongs were born in Connecticut, one year apart. They are easily confused. Even the usually accurate Benjamin Dwight confused them.[1]
One Eunice was born August 17, 1710 in Windsor to Jacob and Abigail Bissell Strong. She married Benajah Webster of Lebanon in Lebanon on September 26, 1739. The convincing evidence is in the Vital Records of Lebanon, which say, with emphasis added, 'Benajah, of Lebanon, m. Eunice Strong, of Windsor '.[2] They had only one child, Benajah, b. Oct. 2, 1740.
The other Eunice, the one profiled here, was born November 18, 1711 in Colchester to Josiah and Elizabeth Warriner Strong. She married Ebenezer Thomas of Lebanon in Colchester on December 7, 1730.[3] They had 12 children.
Married second, Mar 5, 1755 Colchester. First Congregational Church, Tristam BROWN; and she married third, Feb 21, 1765 Colchester, as his third wife, Elnathan ROWLEY d. Jul 1786. [13]
