On May 14th, 1895 Anna married Benjamin Steffens. Benjamin, also known as Bernard, was born in Doukrath, Germany. Anna Strunk Steffens became the first person to be born, baptized, and married in St Mark, Kansas. [3]

She passed away in 1916, and is buried at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Colwich, Sedgwick County, Ks. [5]
