There is a census record from 1851 that lists Sargent Stuart and wife Dorcas. [5] The birth year generally agrees with the original profile, but the 1814 marriage between Simeon Stuart and Dorcas Pendleton is unexplained. Also, it's unclear why some of Sargent's children would be given the last name of Pendleton.
