Biography

Jacob was born on 20 August 1778 and baptized on 7 February 1779; his parents Christoff (Christopher) and Philipina are named and his birthdate given in the baptismal record. The sponsors are Jacob and Catharina Holtz (possibly Jacob Holtz and wife Catharina Ledderman/Leatherman).[1]

Jacob is named in his father Christopher Stull's will; he is left a sum of money for when he turns seventeen, and provision is made for him to attend English schooling and be trained in a trade.[2]

Stull-175 and Stull-42 appear to represent the same person because: Wives match; death dates match. According to Weiser, MD German Church Records vol 5, the 1778 date is correct. Mother's correct surname is Staley, not Stanley.

Stull-87 and Stull-42 appear to represent the same person because: Same birth/death dates and places; same wives.
