Annie was born January 8, 1908 in Holstein, Germany. She immigrated to America with her parents Marie Rohde Suhr and John Suhr (Johannes) when she was about a 3 years old. They arrived in New York on March 24, 1911. [1][2]
They sailed on the ship, "President Lincoln" with other extended family from the port of Cuxhaven and arrived in Ellis Island, New York on March 12, 1911 on the ship "President Lincoln". The Passenger Arrival List showed Mary (30), John (28), and 3 year old child "Anny".

The 1920 Census for rural Saunders, Nebraska shows Annie (Anna) living with her parents and brother Carl. [3]

The 1930 Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska Census shows they'd been married for about a year and had an infant son, John F. born in Nebraska. It lists both Annie and Peter's births as Holstein, Germany. They had a boarder living with them, Fred Lawrence. Both Fred and Peter listed their occupations as "hide seller in a meat packing house". [5]

NOTE: Family reported that Peter and Annie Holst had two children: Irvin and Pauline (who married someone with the last name of Eckman). I have not found any sources yet for Pauline.
