Biography
Florence Sullivan, Jr.was born about 1750 in Maryland. He was the son of Florence Sullivan and Sarah Johnson. Like many in the extended Sullivan family he arrived in Guilford County, North Carolina after 1780. After 1800, he moved on to Tennessee. He passed away about 1814. in Wilson County, Tennessee. He is buried in the Suggs Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church cemetery in Wilson County..

To wife Sarah' Sullivane, Extx., all lands and moveables during life; To son John Sullivane, 1 shilling; To son Daniel'Bold text Sullivane, trace "Sullivanes Addition" containing 50 acres, he paying 7 shillings yearly to Abraham Sullivane during life; To son Florence Sullivane, Ex., tract "Sullivanes Lott" containg 45 acres, paying to Abraham Sullivane 7 shillings 6 pence per year during life; To son Solomon Sullivane, 50 acres part of "Darby's Lott" paying to Abraham Sullivane 7 shillings 6 pence per year during life; To son Darby Sullivane, remainder of tract Darby's Lott, but if he have no heirs land to be divided between my three sons Daniel, Florence, Solomon Sullivane; All personal estate after wifes decease to be equally divided amongst all my children except son John Sullivane; Wit: Nath'l Potter; Solomon Webster; Henry Webster; Vide: Widows Election not to stand by will but asks 1/3 of estate. I am researching Florence's people here in Wilson County. There are many to say the least. He died January 26, 1814, was married to a Mary (no last name yet determined). His children were: Azel b. 1775 in MD d. Mar 1835 Wilson Co, TN; Holland b. abt. 1790 in MD d. abt. 1853 Wilson Co, TN; Levi b. abt. 1790; Reubin b. abt 1800 d. Feb. 7, 1852 Wilson Co, TN.
