Biography

Andrew Sunday was born on 11 Aug 1831in Centre county, Pennsylvania,[1] son of Daniel (Sontag) Sunday and Catherine Reinhardt.[2]

His family left Pennsylvania for Ohio when Andrew was just an infant. He was the "male age 5-9" in his father's household in the 1840 census of Madison, Sandusky, Ohio.[3] He was still with his family in the 1850 census of Thompson, Seneca, Ohio.[2]

He left Ohio for Indiana in about 1853, and it was there that he met and married Mary Ritter, daughter of Henry Ritter, on 26 Nov 1854 in Steuben county, Indiana.[4]

Andrew "spent the greater part of his life in Steuben Township, and owned a place of 120 acres, which his industry did much to improve and make valuable."[5]

He and Mary had the following children together:

Andrew died on 25 Feb 1870 aged 38. He is buried in Mount Zion Cemetery, Steuben County.[1]
