William Thomas was born about 1857. He was the son of William Sutton and Elizabeth Cresswell.He married Elizabeth Cass in 1889 [1] He passed away in 1933 age 76[2] and was buried at the Ashburton Cemetery [3]
SUTTON. —On 8th November, 1933, at the residence of his son, 14 Cornhill street, Christchurch, William Thomas (Jim), beloved husband of Elizabeth Sutton, Ashburton, and eldest son of the late Mr and Mrs William Sutton, Richmond ; aged 76 years.[4]
