Biography

Mary, daughter of Samuel Sweetnam and his wife Mary was born about 1804 in Sussex, England.^[1]

William Austin and Mary Ann Sweetnam married on 6 August 1826 at Chiddingstone in Kent ^[2]

William Austin and Mary Ann Sweetnam immigrated to Australia, with their 4 children, on the "James Pattison", arriving on the 11 December 1838. Mary Ann's place of birth was recorded as Sussex, and her parents both living, were residing at Tunbridge Wells in 1838. She was 33 years on 26 December 1837. ^[3]

She passed away in 1895. ^[4]
