Biography
Thomas was born about 1853, exact date unknown. He is the child of William Taylor and Christian Clazy.
He was listed with his parents in the 1861 UK census at Kelso, Roxburghshire but after that date he is hard to identify. Too many people had the same name! No middle names to help distinguish them.
Thomas then reappeared, in the 1911 UK census at Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, in central England. The census said he was born about 1862 at Kelso, Roxburghshire. He had a wife, Annie, maiden surname unknown, and three daughters: Margaret, Florence and Janet.
A possible marriage record: Thomas Taylor, born about 1855 in Scotland, married Sarah Ann (maiden name not shown!) at Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire, England, in 1911, exact date not shown.
