Barzilla Taylor was born on 1 Jan 1768 in Anson, North Carolina to parents, William Taylor and Martha "Patty" Hunt.

He married Frances (Fanny) Johnson 15 Jul 1798 Elbert County, Georgia.

Barzilla fought in the War of 1812.
