Biography

William was born in 1809. He was the son of William Taylor and Ann Smith. ^[1]

He married Elizabeth Hardcastle in December 1834 in Pontefract, Yorkshire. ^[2] They had at least 6 children together, all born in Knottingley:

1. Ann Taylor (1835-after 1881)^[3]
2. Edward Taylor (1837-after 1851) ^[4]
3. Martin Taylor (1838-1890) ^[5]
4. Sarah Jane Taylor (1840-after 1891) ^[6]
5. William H Taylor (1846-after 1891) ^[7]
6. Elizabeth Taylor (1847-after 1871) ^[8]

In 1841 and 1851, the family lived in Pontefract, Yorkshire. ^{[9] [10]}

In 1871, 1881, and 1891 the family lived in Sculcoates, Yorkshire. ^{[11] [12] [13]}

He passed away about 1893.
