I am twice adopted, conceived out of wedlock. My Thompson name followed my mother's maiden name. My biological father is Harold Lavon Martin Jr. of Bay Springs, MS. I have a number of half-siblings that are related to Crosby's, Boykins, Ducksworth, Payton, Booth, Tatum, and Martin. The Martin lineage is especially interesting to me, as my paternal grandfather has proven to be somewhat elusive (Harold Julius Martin Sr.)...I know he lived in Mississippi and the Chicago area.
I see that you mentioned adoption in your tags/bio. By adding your branches to our shared tree, there may be an opportunity for someone to find you!
Adoptees: How to Set Up Your Profile is a WikiTree help page specifically designed for new members who indicate they are adoptees. It is also helpful for non-adopted members who have living adoptees in their family tree. The page includes links to more resources, like our Adoption Angels Project, basic search techniques, information on DNA Topics, etc.
Good luck!

We are so pleased you decided to upgrade, and thank you for signing the Honor Code.
Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.
Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.
Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.
