Born in 1876 to Harriet (nee Rogers) and Charles Thurston.[1][2]
1908 Daughter Doris "Dolly" born.
In 1924, his nephews and niece via his younger sister, Zenobia were holidaying at Bumbunga (presumably from their home at West Croydon). A picture of George's bespoke farm dog sled and harnesses was published by the reporting newspaper.[3]
When his mother Harriet died in 1933 he was obviously the executor for the whole estate left behind including land which his father had left to his mother. Four lots of land were auctioned under his instruction. Including George's own farm, this included a total of 3516 acres stretching from immediately east of Bumbunga railway siding to the Everard gympsum deposits west of Blyth.[5]
