Lilian Tinsley was born 14th January 1882 in Much Hadham, Hertfordshire, England & baptised there 26th February 1882, the daughter of Annie Prior Tinsley.[1][2]
On 5th April 1887, Lilian Tinsley (age 5) together with her parents, John (Joseph Jnr.) (26) & Annie (26) Shepherd, and her younger brother George W. Shepherd (1), sailed from London on the "Waroonga" as Remittance passengers, and arrived at Port Alma, Queensland, Australia on Sunday 29th May 1887. They were transferred to the "Taldora" the next day & carried to Rockhampton, Queensland where they disembarked.[3][4]
Lilian Shepherd Tinsley & William Wainwright were married 15th May 1900 in Queensland, Australia.[5]
Lilian Wainwright, aged 57, a widow, of Yeppoon, died in the Brisbane Hospital from the effects of lysol poisoning on 5th September 1939. She was laid to rest at the Toowong Cemetery, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia 7th September 1939.[6][7][8]
